Baltimore Pirate festival 15th - 17th of June 2018

  • Baltimore Road Skibbereen, County Cork Ireland (map)

The Baltimore Pirate Festival promises a host of family fun events and entertainment.

All pirates (past and present) are invited to celebrate and commemorate the demise of 108 settlers taken away as slaves by Algerian Pirates on 20 June 1631. This festival weekend includes visits to the thirteenth century fully restored O’Driscoll Castle called Dún na Séad, pirate dress competition, pirate boat trips looking for basking sharks, whales & dolphins, and kayaking and snorkelling in caves and coves where pirates landed.

Enjoy musical entertainment with bands, sea shanties, family fun with a treasure hunt, pirate bouncy  castles and games with prizes for every participating pirate child. Adult pirate challenges include a treasure map event and best buccaneer behaviour / dress.
