Schull is the largest village on the Mizen peninsula, from which you can explore the rugged landscape and dramatic coastline. It has a sheltered harbour, from which you can see the many islands off the coast, making it a perfect base for water sport activities.
The focal point of the village is Cadogan Strand, which was remodelled by celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin, who turned it from a wasteland into a relaxing and picturesque contemporary garden, overlooking the beach.
Schull market, on a Sunday, showcases all the quality local produce and craftwork and attracts visitors from the surrounding areas.
From Schull, you can explore all that the Mizen has to offer, including Fastnet Lighthouse, Mount Gabriel and Dunlough Castle.
