Fred Cooke (“I love Fred…he has the spirit of the clown in him ” – Tommy Tiernan) and Julie Jay (“Riotous Comedy” – The Irish Times) are back with their show ‘Marriage Counselling,’ so-named because their relationship is quite literally hanging on by a thread. This year they are thrilled to be up the duff again after Julie orchestrated a surprise pregnancy behind Fred’s back, with her truly gas ruminations on married life offset by Fred’s high-octane storytelling and hilarious punchlines.

Fred burst onto our screens in ‘Republic of Telly’ and ‘The Fear’ and whilst he is currently known for MCing the wildly successful ‘The Tommy Tiernan Show’ he is best known for the Spar ads 15 years ago. He has been overdrawn and underpaid ever since. His high-octane hilarity and musical prowess went down a treat on Dancing With The Stars and makes him one of the best comedians in Ireland today.

Julie Jay 

Julie is a comic, MC and columnist with The Irish Examiner. Her very funny observational comedy has see her act as resident support for Tommy Tiernan, Des Bishop, Neil Delamere and Ardal O’Hanlon. Her latest show ‘Oops, This is Toxic’ – a love letter to Britney Spears – sold out three festival runs (including Dublin and Edinburgh Fringe) and won the prestigious First Fortnite award. One of Ireland’s brightest comedy stars.
